Trust you have all had a good summer so far but fast approaching is "Back to school" time and you need to gear up for it. We have good stocks of all the popular items such as leotards,Ballet shoes,regulation uniform,pointe,character & jazz shoes and much more to provide a cost effective way of getting geared up. Also for all the Zumba dancers we have some great sneakers from Bloch & Capezio to keep you moving in comfort. We also offer a very competitive pointe fitting service so even more reason to visit us.

24/02/2010 - Busy busy busy! This month Fee & I were selling at the latest Just Jive Band night in Berkeley with teachers Jim & Lisa and had a great time again. Deb & John have also been selling at the Pittville Pump Rooms for the latest Cheltenham Ceroc Freestyle evening. Our Sale has also gone very well in the shop & online; plus I have recently added more stock lines to the sale and reduced further some other lines, so take another look as there might be something else that appeals to you. More and more local dance school pupils are now using us for their ISTD or RAD regulation uniform (at great prices) and it is great to see you. If we don't have something in stock that is required we will do our utmost to get it in stock for you quickly. We are also very proud to announce that before Christmas we were appointed the preferred supplier for regulation uniform & accessories by the national Lafour - Dance and Drama Schools! Which we are very honoured to be chosen by them. If you have a dance school and would like to benefit from the dance locker stocking your schools uniform please contact me (Graham).

15/01/2010 - We had a great weekend in Torquay with Rock Bottoms and managed to get there and back with no problems caused by the snow. Tomorrow night Fiona & I are at the Gloucester Jive & Swing Winter Warmer event with the great live band Jive Aces and the event is already sold out. Next Friday (22nd) John & Deb are at Cheltenham Pump Room with Ceroc Cheltenham and then on Saturday (23rd) Fiona & I are in Oxford at the Oxford Lindy Hoppers Jump Session with live music by the Melody Room Jazz band. Hopefully we will meet many of you whilst selling at these events? If not pop into the shop as we do have a great sale on at the moment!

05/01/2010 - Happy New Year!! It is that time of the year - SALES!! We have some great offers on clothes and shoes, with up to 35% off the Freddy Fame Range & Pineapple and other great sale offers on Papillon, Freddy, Bloch & Capezio. Check out Special Offers under the Products Menu on the home page. The stock is limited so you will need to be quick to ensure someone else doesn't beat you to the great sale price. Thanks to HolidayRock during Xmas & New Year, we had a good time there and see them next in Weymouth during April. We are in Torquay this weekend with Rock Bottoms for what will no doubt be a great weekend of dancing for all going there.

18/12/2009 - Sorry the news has not been updated for so long, we have been busy busy busy! The shop business continues to grow, so thanks to all our loyal customers for making this happen by referring us to their friends. We have also been out to many local dances at weekends and have also started attending weekenders, one was in Bishops Cleeve and the other was Torquay! It was great to meet many new and old faces. We don't stop over the Christmas & New Year period either, as we are at Loxton with HolidayRock, then in January we are with Rock Bottoms for the weekend in Torquay and then with The Oxford Lindy Hoppers in Oxford! Phew! Any Strictly Come Dancing Fans among you?! Well guess what...... the dance locker this week have supplied the shoes for Ricky & Chris's Professional Dance Partners (Natalie Lowe & Ola Jordan). Hopefully they will be wearing them tomorrow during the Final whilst performing the Jitterbug and they are Bleyer Lindy Hopper Strap shoes ................ Who do you want to win?.

30/09/2009 - Well we had a great day with Fame Fever at The Brewery on Saturday, I hope many of you made it and enjoyed it as well. There were over 200 dancers there on the day from dance schools throughout Gloucestershire and I would like to say again thankyou to the dance schools and dancers for making it such a success. Thanks also to furryfeet.tv for doing a video of the day for us (watch the video on our Fame Fever Day page), Thomas & Anna from Salsa del Sol for providing and operating the PA system and Ian from I-Jac Photography for taking photos of the event.

16/09/2009 - We have been enjoying a very busy Back to School and have found out that we are getting a good reputation for our competitive prices and good service. Thanks to everyone who is referring us to their friends. Something that we have been planning for a while now is a Fame event to coincide with the release of the Fame movie remake and we are very glad to announce that this is to be held at The Brewery in Cheltenham on Saturday 26th September 2-5pm, see further details here. We are very happy that a number of dance schools and teachers from throughout Gloucestershire will be attending and this should make it a very enjoyable day. We will have Freddy dancewear and T-shirts for sale on the day at The Brewery and after that day you will be able to find it in our shop. Freddy is the featured dance apparel provider for the upcoming feature film, Fame. On their website they have some great Fame photos, Flim Trailer and are running a competition where you can send your own dance routine to the film soundtrack in to them, look here for more details.

04/09/2009 - Where did the Summer go?! We have had a great time and thanks to our new (and old) customers for keeping us busy during what is normally a quiet time in our line of trade. Well it is time for 'Back to School' and we have stocked up and increased our lines accordingly, including regulation uniform for many more dance schools in the region. If you are going back to your dance school and need some new shoes or clothing please think of us, if our first few days this week are anything to go by, then you already are and we are going to be really busy! If you do want a Pointe shoe fitting please remember to try and book an appointment beforehand, to avoid dispappointment, as we can sometimes be too busy to fit you in.

22/07/2009 - If you are an avid reader of my News Page then sorry for the delay in an update. As you can hopefully see, I have been very busy creating our new website - I hope you like it? If you haven't already subscribed to our newsletter (on the home page) then do so, otherwise you may be missing out on some special offers from the dance locker, that are goig to be sent out regularly. I will also be creating our Facebook page soon, so keep watching this space for updates. If you are off to Summer School shortly then why not come into the shop and look for that special leotard, new jazz pants, tights or whatever takes your fancy?! We have some great non-regulation uniform, so I think you will be spoilt for choice. Finally we have increased our range of sales items, so if you haven't been in for a while you may be missing a great offer. Hope you all have a great Summer!

13/05/2009 - As promised I said I would let you know - we have now received a small line of clothing from Italian Dancewear Designer Label Freddy. It is displayed in our shop and if you want to look on our website at the items we have, just put 'Freddy' in the search field. I hope you like it and in late September we will also be carrying a lot more items from their new Autumn/Winter Collection. 

07/05/2009 - It has been a very busy few weeks since my last news update. The 3 social evenings we went to (see news item 09/04/2009), were very successful and we enjoyed meeting so many new people and it was good to see some friends again who we had already seen at our shop or at another social evening. We also have our new Papillon Summer Collection in the shop, so please come in and have a look. I am awaiting the advertising images from Papillon, but as soon as they arrive I will add them to our website. But if you want to get in first as we cannot re-order once they are sold, I would suggest a visit to the shop. Finally I am proud to announce that we will be stocking some clothing from Italian Dancewear Designer Label Freddy soon, so keep checking our news page for when it arrives.   

18/04/2009 - Today we have started our first proper sale in the shop and on our website. So if you want to grab a bargain then now is the time to have a look - as there are some great deals. Not all the sale items are on the website, so I would suggest trying to get to the shop where possible.

09/04/2009 - We are all getting ready for a great long Easter weekend. We will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday but will be open normal hours on Saturday 11th April. We have a very busy second half of April planned with 3 more social evenings to show our dancewear shoes and clothing, these are Just Jive - Jiveoholics Dance on Saturday 18th April 2009 at Berkeley Nuclear Sports & Social Club in Berkeley, Salsa del Sol - Premier Night on Friday 24th April 2009 at The Reddings Community Centre in Cheltenham and Ross Jive and Swing Bishopswood Dance on Saturday 25th April 2009 at Kern Bridge Bishopswood Nr. Ross On Wye.  So if you would like tickets to either of these events please follow their links.

25/03/2009 - This week we have done our first pointe shoe fittings for a class at a dance school in Swindon. With no locally qualified pointe shoe fitters available in Swindon, they have previously sent their pupils to either Bristol or Cheltenham. Debbie and Fiona spent the morning there fitting around 20 pupils with the feedback from the teachers and pupils being fantastic. 12/03/2009 - Fiona, one of the co-owners of the business, is again running the London Marathon this year on April 26th and will be running for Leukaemia Research. 14/02/2009 - Sorry it has been so long to update the news page, but we have been very busy. We attended a couple more social evenings in January with The Jive Aces and Forest of Dean Jive and Swing. Business has continued to grow and January was our best month by far since we launched. As requested by a number of customers we will shortly be selling some Aris Allen shoes and they should hopefully be with us by the end of the month. We have also sent out our first special offers email and if you want to be added to our database to receive the email, then please contact us. Finally, due to the falling value of the pound and many of our suppliers being from Europe or USA, they have been increasing their prices since the New Year. We will therefore unfortunately have to increase our prices at the end of February, as we cannot continue to absorb the additional cost. So if you have been holding off making that purchase then do it before the end of the month!

16/12/2008 - As promised I said that I would let you know when the Bleyer shoes had arrived and they have! So if you have been waiting for them please come and visit us in the shop. Over the past month we have been asked by a number of dance schools if we could come to one of their social evenings and sell our shoes direct to their students. So this week we will be at the Comrades Club, Nailsworth on Thursday evening and our next planned evening is at the Jive Aces Live night at Walls Social Club, Gloucester on Saturday, 17th January 2009. We are currently planning many more for the New Year, so if you would like us to come to one of your social or dance lesson evenings please let us know and we will gladly schedule you in.  Just a reminder to everyone we close on Christmas Eve at 3pm and then reopen at 11am on Friday, 2nd January. Thanks again for your continued support - it really is appreciated.

22/11/2008 - What a 2 weeks we have had! We have been very busy with pointe shoe fittings including a local dance school sending their students to us; as we had been recommended to them by a very satisfied customer. If you are thinking of having a pointe shoe fitting please remember to call us beforehand and make an appointment, because unfortunately last week we had to turn someone away due to being very busy. We have again increased our line of clothing by stocking the latest range of Capezio dancewear, some of it was even spotted on last weeks episode of Britannia High! It has also been requested by a number of local dance teachers that we stock of range of footwear suitable for Jive, Swing and Lindy Hop dancing. We have taken advice from them and have agreed to stock a range of Bleyer shoes and these will hopefully be with us in the next 2-3 weeks, so continue to check out our news page and I will tell you when they arrive. Finally I would like to say thank you to our satisfied customers who are recommending us to their friends, we are now getting customers who are travelling from Oxford, Swindon, Bath, Bristol and Cirencester because they have heard how lovely the shop is and the varied range of clothing & footwear that we stock. 

12/11/2008 - Even though Debbie and Fiona had in-depth pointe shoe fitting training prior to opening (this was kindly provided by Kay White from Strictly Dancing in). Debbie and Fiona went for further training by Bloch in London last week and are now fully certified pointe shoe fitters for Bloch. So if you have any questions you wish to ask or you require a new pair of pointe shoes please do not hesitate to call into the shop, we will be pleased to help. 

28/10/2008 - We have now been open for just over a month and the support from our customers, dance teachers and local dance schools has been amazing. We have far exceeded our forecast for the first month and have had to increase stock levels to cope with demand. We have also increased our range of ballroom shoes and clothing lines, due to our customers requests - so hopefully you will like these additions. We also carry many additional items in our shop than are advertised on our website, so make sure you pay us a visit, as we may have that item you have been looking for? We also carry ISTD and RAD regulation uniforms for many local dance schools, at highly competitive prices.

09/10/2008 -  The website is now fully loaded with our large range of products. If there are any products that we do not stock let us know and we will gladly look into whether we can source them for you. Just send us an email by contacting us.

01/10/2008 - It has been a week since we opened and the response has been fantastic. The lovely comments we have received about both the shop itself and the range of products we stock has been great. Thank you to you all for your support.

23/09/2008 - the dance locker shop opens its doors for the first time. It should have been open a month earlier but we wanted to make sure the shop was to a high standard to show off the fantastic range of dancewear, shoes and accessories that we carry. We probably have the largest range in store within Gloucestershire! Thank you so much to everybody for their good luck cards and messages, the response has been overwhelming.
